Ear gauge and pus problem?

Straight to the point: my dumb *** got excited with getting to a 6g after about a month of being at 8g. my ears got swollen for a few weeks after that and were oozing pus like crazy. So the 8's are back in. I did some sea salt soaks (still am) and the swelling has gone down to the point where it seems like my ears are back to normal, BUT they're still oozing pus a bit..should I be really worried?
