What's the stuff coming out of my belly button piercing?!!!!?

So I got my bellybutton pierced about 4 months ago and I put in a new ring recently. It really irritated my piercing so I took it out and put in the old one. But ever since then, my piercing has been oozing this disgusting clear slimy substance. It's not white, so I know it's not lymph. It's just really clear and it smells really bad too. I know the piercing isn't infected because it's not red or swollen, but it hurts when i touch it now. Is this normal?
